Crossroads students fill time capsule which will be buried during the grand opening celebrations
Ryan Gray and fellow classmate Rushon Dagelman have been working hard to produce a booklet and CD that hold a list of the popular music, movies and gadgets of 2011. Now that they are finished, the students will place the items inside a time capsule which will be buried in one of the brick columns at the entrance of the Crossroads Public School. The burial of the time capsule is part of the school's grand opening celebrations on Feb. 9. Each class has been responsible for contributing an item to the time capsule and students in Grades 7 and 8 decided to record what movies, music and technological gadgets were popular during their school years, says Ruby Krake, the Grade 8 teacher. The class began their project in late November, and once each student had chosen favourites, the class voted on what they thought should go in the time capsule, she said. See Page 3
